A native of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Cyril Gillion intends to inspire youth and African Americans with his new book, The Other Side of the Pillow. The seventh of eight siblings, Cyril has attended Florida A & M University and has played active roles in both the church and his community.

Milisa's goal is to graduate college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and go on to medical school. For her, the sky is the limit when it comes to setting goals for her to achieve.

Currently an undergraduate nursing student and a single mother with a dream, Milisa would like to meet as many positive people as she can. Because she is all about self-improvement and goal-setting, Milisa wants to surround herself with like minds.

Here's an ambitious young lady who's truly maximizing her potential despite the fact that, while growing up, life wasn't easy for her. In and out of group homes, Milisa never had the opportunity to graduate high school.

It wasn't until she became pregnant with my son that she finally realized she had to make a change for the better. Amazingly, Milisa took the GED exam and evetually enrolled in a Medical Assistant program 2 weeks before her son was born. Graduation gave her the confidence she needed to realize that she could accomplish much more. Thus, Milisa went on to enroll herself in a nursing program at an excellent university and is anxiously looking forward to graduating in 3 years.

As much as Milisa has accomplished, she cannot fulfill her dream without your help. Working 2 jobs during the summer months in order to support herself and her son, Milisa will only be able to work one part-time job when she returns to school in September. Thus, she came up with an ambitious and creative way to see herself through nursing school.

Milisa has set up a website in the hopes that folks will find it in their hearts to help her get through college so she would not have to struggle so hard. The recipient of scholarships and loans to pay for her education, Milisa is struggling with miscellaneous expenses.

Born and raised in New York City, Linda started her studies in music at an early age following the encouragement of her father who recently passed away. With a great love for music himself, he always encouraged Linda to love it, respect it, and make it part of her life.

At age 11 Linda moved with her parents to Puerto Rico where she studied voice and popular singing at The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and became more active in Christian music. Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, Tenisha Alexander began singing publicly at the age of 12. With a love for poetry and music, Mrs. Alexander wrote poems continuously and played the piano, French horn, and acoustic guitar in the band and church.

Coming from a family of 16, Tenisha's father didn’t know the extent of her singing talent until she participated in a talent show. After hearing Tenisha sing, tears came to his eyes. Since then, he has encouraged Tenisha to pursue singing, saying that she was gifted to sing and the sky is the limit.

Currently working in accounting, Tenisha is married to the wonderful Minister Jason Alexander who was the second person to encourage her to pursue a singing career.

Suzanne SnoSavenski, Christian Author of Suspense Novels, Finds Her Calling

A Christian author of suspense novels, Suzanne SnoSavenski was born in Carmel, California, the oldest of four children.

During the early part of her marriage, Suzanne received a typewriter from her husband. With a strong desire to type, Suzanne searched for topics to type about. An idea that came to her was one that she feels was the Lord’s way of telling her to put her feelings and experiences as an abused victim into a book.

Suzanne only got to five chapters when her youngest son accidentally trashed it. Putting it aside as a lost, Suzanne gave up on it until her husband found it in 2004. Suzanne’s decision to finish it was put on hold because she felt that she “had a lot of spiritual growing to do.”

Having increasingly grown into a Godly woman who wants nothing more than to lead people to God, Suzanne has finished three books. Feeling that sometimes she doesn't have the right words to minister to people, Suzanne hopes her books will speak for her.

Susana Hernandez: Composer, Flute Psalmist, Singer, Teacher

Susana Hernandez was born and raised in a Jewish home. After meeting Jesus as her Messiah, Susana began to compose songs in English and Spanish and began to use her flute as an anointed psalmist.

Currently living in Colombia, South America, Susana is married to Norman, a Colombian national, and travels all over to teach and lead prophetic worship.

Cerca de Ti, Señor, is a worship experience that will take you into the presence of God, such as an eagle soars higher and higher.

Recorded in Spanish but appreciated by all who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Susana composed all of its songs. It includes a flute solo and duet by Susana as well.

Mark Henry: The Jazz Writer and His Sons Work Together and Play Together

Mark Henry, known as The Jazz Writer, was born in Los Angeles, California. With his love of music beginning in his early childhood, Mark could be found listening to legends like Hugh Masekela, James Brown, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, and The Supremes.

Drawn by the emotional instrumentation and harmonies, he soon learned to play the guitar at the tender age of 8, bought a bass at age 11, and shortly thereafter became the bass player in his uncle's band. Having studied bass in high school during his impassioned teenage years, Mark was captivated by the great jazz innovators of the seventies who invented a new genre of music. Geniuses like Grover Washington Jr., Bob James, Ronnie Laws, Herbie Hancock, Dexter Wenzel, Donald Byrd, Patrice Rushen, Bobbi Humphrey, the Jazz Crusaders, and a list far too long to complete here were combining tight rhythms, emotional chord progressions, memorable melodies, and inspired solos to form what would become Smooth Jazz.

Music became Mark's first love. He studied flute, piano, music theory, recording arts technology, and radio before he began creating his own innovations of jazz. Eventually purchasing his own studio equipment, Mark took up Pro Audio recording, mixing and editing local bands and independent artists, recording shows, pads, PSA's and liners for Adele Fortier's legendary Gospel Connection radio show, and editing for the IT Conversations Network. All the while his skills as a jazz writer continued to develop, becoming evermore chill.

His two sons, Mark and Shawn, also embrace a love of music, first as trumpet players in their middle and high school bands, then as talented songwriters, producers, and recording engineers. Working together, this family organization has developed a powerful smooth jazz production entity, always uniquely outside the boundaries of genre to make great jazz while embracing the widest audience through crossover appeal.

Let me introduce you to Christine Cruz who lives on Long Island, New York. A busy person and wearer of many hats, Christine is a Business Analyst for the IT industry, a Christian musician with her husband, a web and print designer, and the owner of an online store of Christian wear.

Christine started her online store to sell Christian clothes (t-shirts, sweatshirts, and baby clothes) after running into stumbling block online searching for Christian shirts for her husband and herself. They were so hard to find. She always hit a dead end but never gave up.

Instead throwing the towel, Christine decided to open her own store where she and her husband can have easy access to Christian t-shirts they can wear in their shows and in public. It was their great way to get the message out and get people interested in God's Word.

On Saturday, September 16, 2006 The Heights Theater launched a new mobile area. The goal of this new area "Phone/PDA" section offers ways for you to access theater information via your web-enabled cell phones, PDA's or other handheld devices.

By pointing your browser to www.Heights-Theater.com/mobile/index.html you can access information customized to fit your screen size.

Another new area is RSS section, giving a way to syndicate the latest theater information via XML-based file format, with either an online aggregator service, or downloadable aggregator software installed on a computer. The Heights is continuing to explore the use text messaging (SMS) for theater updates and "Mobile ticketing".
