Just Who is Jane Musoke-Nteyafas?

Here's what Mr. Gerald Businge said about her in his review and interview first published in July 26, 2007 on ugpulse.com. To read his review of, and interview with, Ms Jane Musoke-Nteyafas, click here.

Today, Jane is a recognized poet, author, visual artist, playwright and soon, you will be listening to music from Jane. While you may think growing up in a multi-cultural environment might make one lose their identity and sense of self, Jane, who was born in Russia, lived in Uganda, France, Denmark, Cuba and currently resides in Canada has taken every advantage to grow into a better global citizen. Jane is an inspiration to many people, especially those looking for what to do to earn a living or wish to look at themselves more closely, identify and utilize their talents as well as know and love themselves (positively) as the best person there is.

Who is Jane Musoke-NteyafasJane believes the best way to empower oneself is through education and self-love, which she has given herself in adequate amounts. Many people think that to be special and to achieve success in life; you need to act like a celebrity. Jane, however, says everyone is special and can achieve what they want if they set their goals and t
argets right, and put themselves in the right frame of mind. This applies to beauty too, a major area of her works.

Interviewing Jane makes you think you are talking to an interesting professor. She gives perspectives on world trends, personal development, and exudes a positive self-image. You find yourself hanging onto her every word as Gerald Businge found out in an interview with Jane recently."

Olivia Gray, International Singer and Songwriter, Taking the World by Storm

International sensation, Olivia GrayOlivia Gray has been described to be one of the most interesting singer/songwriters in pop music. Her unique and sensual voice has been described as ravishingly captivating and sensuously breathtaking. Los Bravos had a worldwide hit in the 60s with the song, Black Is Black. Olivia also sings two duets on this album with Mike Kennedy, the group's lead singer.

Olivia also participated in some of the biggest song festivals in the world like the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, the World Song Contest in Korea, and twice at the well-known Festival in Viata de Mar, Chile, where she performed her captivating song, Nobody Wants to be Lonely, for a live audience of 40,000 people and over 400 million TV viewers. Olivia also did a video-clip of the song.

After her success in Chile, Sony signed her to a recording contract for the Latin American audience. Shortly after, this she recorded her first album in Spanish, Tentacion. The single, In The Morning Light, as an international hit, became one of her biggest successes of her career.

Family Crest Takes Flight

When they started out as Backyard Bluegrass in the 1980's, Dennis and Sue Amon's band included their children, Corey, Kelly, Kim, and Casey. Not one to sit still, this family band could be found playing their hearts out at charity events, bluegrass festivals, family parks, churches, and campgrounds.

In 1994 Sue and Dennis formed Family Crest after the children grew up and went on to pursue their education at their universities and colleges. However, as Sue and Dennis ventured out on their own, they vowed to keep the values of the family band first and foremost.

With the help of Vic Mullen, they recorded their first CD in 1996. Their three CD's have sold a combined total of over 10,000 copies at their live performances. Originating in Nova Scotia, they have played hundreds of venues over the years in the Maritimes and New England.

A song writer, Sue recorded some of her songs on their gospel CD. When asked, "Why was the name, Family Crest, chosen?", Sue enthusically responded,

"Just as a family crest represents who you are, our music represents who we are. Our music is played from the heart and our original songs give the audience a glimpse of our lives and beliefs."

Click on their CD cover below to sample their music, watch their video and pictures, and purchase their CD's.

Marc and Julie, Julie and Marc: A Perseverance Team Doing God's Work!

Meet Julie

Meet Marc and Julie

Marc is a graphic artist while Julie, his wonderful wife, is a stay-at-home Mom. They believe God inspired them, led them, and directed them to build their website. They were not entirely sure why God did, but their intention is to follow God's leading by implementing the goals given them and all future goals that they have yet to receive. They believe God is bigger than many voices in society insisting that they give up their dreams and become complacent.

They believe in encouraging others to ignore the voices of dream-stealers and to cling to God's voice instead. They believe God gives everyone dreams, talents, and abilities. Thus, they put everything in God's Hands when it comes to their future and future of their site.

On June 26, 2005, Marc became a Christian and was baptized with his wife as their 2 year-old son looked on. Two weeks later they discovered a second child was on the way. They sought God, to understand faith in light of Marc’s recent conversion, a journey they continue upon.

Life was busy. Marc worked first shift, Julie worked second. While one worked, the other cared for their toddler. This question ebbed away at them: Could God really have a purpose for them to fulfill?

March 2006 arrived and so did their second son. Julie went back to work when their son was 6 weeks old. Life wasn’t what they’d envisioned: working different shifts, raising their children as if they were single parents, and having the opportunity to raise them together only on weekends. Besides, they knew God had given them talents beyond what their jobs were using.

During the summer of 2006, after months of prayer, Julie quit her job. They made financial arrangements and adjustments, while God provided many others. They prayed for everything and anything that came to mind for their mission was to give God a year while they work on their talents. Allow God give and guide their goals. God’s plan required them to ignore the fear of their possible destruction and failure and, instead, put their faith, trust, and lives in God's hands.

They pray that you will come to know God or that God will have a deeper impact on your life. They hope to put laughter, spiritual insight, and fun into your lives. They intend their site to be a sanctuary for you where you can to build your faith, along with others you might meet there, and, ultimately have fun together.

They would love to hear from you! They would like to know what God has done for you? How much do you love Him?

Tell them! Tell your friends! Let the world see!

Commit to their challenge:

They would like to host an ongoing list of people from all over the world on whose lives Jesus has had an impact. But they can't do it without your help. So, share, tell us, post your testimonies in the Bugskippy.com forums.

Please tell Marc and Julie how real your faith is. Tell them what God has personally done in your life. Let the world see and know that He is real, He is here, and He is at work in us and in the world.

Milisa's Creative Way Through Nursing School

Milisa's goal is to graduate college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and go on to medical school. For her, the sky is the limit when it comes to setting goals for her to achieve.

Currently an undergraduate nursing student and a single mother with a dream, Milisa would like to meet as many positive people as she can. Because she is all about self-improvement and goal-setting, Milisa wants to surround herself with like minds.

Here's an ambitious young lady who's truly maximizing her potential despite the fact that, while growing up, life wasn't easy for her. In and out of group homes, Milisa never had the opportunity to graduate high school.

It wasn't until she became pregnant with my son that she finally realized she had to make a change for the better. Amazingly, Milisa took the GED exam and evetually enrolled in a Medical Assistant program 2 weeks before her son was born. Graduation gave her the confidence she needed to realize that she could accomplish much more. Thus, Milisa went on to enroll herself in a nursing program at an excellent university and is anxiously looking forward to graduating in 3 years.

As much as Milisa has accomplished, she cannot fulfill her dream without your help. Working 2 jobs during the summer months in order to support herself and her son, Milisa will only be able to work one part-time job when she returns to school in September. Thus, she came up with an ambitious and creative way to see herself through nursing school.

Milisa has set up a website in the hopes that folks will find it in their hearts to help her get through college so she would not have to struggle so hard. The recipient of scholarships and loans to pay for her education, Milisa is struggling with miscellaneous expenses.

Please find it in your heart to help Milisa achieve her goals.

In her own words,

"So if you would like to donate $1.00 or more, it would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to raise enough money to help me pay for my books, daycare, and miscellaneous expenses."

I have created a website called PayAStudent.com/ with the sole purpose of building on a dream, a dream that I will one day be able to go through college without having to struggle so hard. I am a single mother and while some people may feel I am using this as an excuse I am not. I am trying to provide for me and my son while I strive to make a better life for the both of us. I am working two jobs I am going to school to become a nurse and after that I would like to go on to Medical school. Thank you in advance."

Bloggers and their viewers will be raising and donating money for students and schools in New Orleans and other parts of the country. Won't you help meet the Challenge by choosing to fund a Specific Challenge?

ia a non-profit Web site that brings teachers and donors together to fund specific student projects that range from "Magical Math Centers" ($200) to "Big Book Bonanza" ($320), to "Cooking Across the Curriculum" ($1,100). Any individual can search such proposals by areas of interest, learn about classroom needs, and choose to fund the project(s) they find most compelling. In completing a project, donors receive a feedback package of student photos and thank-you notes, a teacher impact letter, and an expenditure report showing that their tax-deductible gift was spent as directed.

is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack. At this not-for-profit web site, teachers submit project proposals for materials or experiences their students need to learn. These ideas become classroom reality when concerned individuals, whom they call Citizen Philanthropists, choose projects to fund.
