A native of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Cyril Gillion intends to inspire youth and African Americans with his new book, The Other Side of the Pillow. The seventh of eight siblings, Cyril has attended Florida A & M University and has played active roles in both the church and his community.To Cyril, writing is not only a passion, it’s an obsession that he’s been doing since his adolescent years.
When asked about that obsession, he quotes, “God sends testimonies in different forms. Ministers testify through spoken word. Singers testify through music. Illustrators testify through art. I write!"
Although The Other Side of the Pillow is his first novel, Cyril has also written short stories and various works of poetry. He has recently started his own publishing company, CG publishing, in which he plans to link up with other authors. Cyril is currently at work on his next novel.
