Olivia Gray, International Singer and Songwriter, Taking the World by Storm

International sensation, Olivia GrayOlivia Gray has been described to be one of the most interesting singer/songwriters in pop music. Her unique and sensual voice has been described as ravishingly captivating and sensuously breathtaking. This, together with her exceptional songwriting and excellent arrangements, has made her music stand out from the ordinary.

Born into a family of painters and actresses, Olivia Gray was soon to take up an artistical and creative career. Taking guitar lessons at an early age and, while still in her teens, Olivia decided to study at the Cambridge University in London from where she obtained a degree in English Literature. With this background, Olivia enrolled at the Central Academy of Film Art and Drama in London and obtained a finishing diploma.

As Olivia also became more involved in songwriting, it was during a recording session that Producer Willy Viteka, impressed by Olivia's voice, decided to record some demos. Olivia's songs have been recorded by many international top artists such as Telly Savalas (Kojak) for whom she wrote the follow-up single, Put Your Head Down Tonight, his number one top hit, Some Broken Hearts), Milva, Francesco Napoli, Los Picos, Paco Aguilera (former member of the Gipsy Kings and head of the well-known spanish group, Los Rollin, who topped the charts with their most original pop-rumba versions of Beatles Hits) to name only a few.

International sensation, Olivia GrayWith the exception of two songs, all titles for the new album for Los Bravos' Midnight Storm were written by Olivia. Los Bravos had a worldwide hit in the 60s with the song, Black Is Black. Olivia also sings two duets on this album with Mike Kennedy, the group's lead singer.

Olivia also participated in some of the biggest song festivals in the world like the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, the World Song Contest in Korea, and twice at the well-known Festival in Viata de Mar, Chile, where she performed her captivating song, Nobody Wants to be Lonely, for a live audience of 40,000 people and over 400 million TV viewers. Olivia also did a video-clip of the song.

After her success in Chile, Sony signed her to a recording contract for the Latin American audience. Shortly after, this she recorded her first album in Spanish, Tentacion. The single, In The Morning Light, as an international hit, became one of her biggest successes of her career.

International sensation, Olivia GrayThe Dutch Film Academy chose the songs from amount hundred of songs to make a video clip to be shown by international TV stations. Olivia realized the extraordinary project "Frande-Friends" with 17 well-known Swiss artists, such as DJ Tatana, Andreas Vollenweider, Marc Storace (Krokus), Natacha, John Brack, Tony Vescoli, Peter Reber, and others.

The single, in 3 different versions, along with a video-clip, was released in January 2005 as the official Charity-Song in aid of the victims of the Tsunami catastrophe. It stayed in the Swiss charts for over 3 months and was the most successful Swiss charity song. Her new English album, Release My Soul, as well as a new Spanish album entitled, Ritmo del Amor, were released in 2007 with different versions of her latest Latin-Pop singles, Te Quiero and Ritmo del Amor on both albums.
