This published author, voice-over talent, speaker, and former print model is also the founder of The Grand Prairie African American AUTHOR SHOWCASE, an organization she formed to celebrate community by supporting authors and empowering readers. Her Showcase events serve a dual purpose: displaying the giftings and talents of some while revealing the passion and purpose of others. Dr. Congress is strongly committed to the cause of combating illiteracy in women and children and is a member of several community-focused organizations.
Dr. Congress, the author of The Bankrupt Spirit: Principles for Turning Setbacks into Comebacks, The McMillon Family Cookbook: Something to Shout About! and newly released, Manna for Mamma: Wisdom for Women in the Wilderness holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations, a Master of Theological Studies and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Counseling.
