Retired Teacher Betty Wears Many Hats - And We Benefit from Each

Betty Ward Cain is a published author, musician, and retired teacher with a Christian heritage who desires to bring the values taught during her childhood to children today.

Mrs. Cain grew up in a minister’s home. With her father, the Rev. T. N. Ward, and grandfather, the Rev. L. M. Justice, as Church of God ministers, Mrs. Cain became a Christian when she was only 5 years old.

A avid helper, Mrs. Cain has spent most of her life in some type of ministry as a Sunday School teacher, soloist, choir member, children’s choir director, vacation Bible school teacher, and most positions in her church.

Mrs. Cain and her husband, Jay, have one son, Jeremy. The delight of Mrs. Cain’s life is her three grandchildren. Her writing began several years before she retired from teaching. After taking a class at Lee University with Dr. Cliff Schimmels, she began her career in writing. Dr. Schimmels was published many times in his lifetime.

After turning in a writing assignment in his class, Mrs. Cain was called out and told she should share her gifts with others. She had never believed in her abilities until he gave her the encouragement she needed. Now she is maximizing her God-given potential.
