Ms Sonia Brown, SistaTalk Founder, and Lady on the Move

Ms Sonia Brown, of London, England, created the social network, "SistaTalk", for the sole purpose of "inspiring and empowering women to network online".

Additionally, Ms Brown is the founder and director of the National Black Women's Network (NBWN) which aims to raise the status and profile of black women in all walks of life. The NBWN provides dynamic initiatives, enabling women from diverse backgrounds and occupations to develop strong professional and social contacts, high quality training and educational programmes, leadership and national recognition.

With a background in marketing, event management and business development, this lady is not one to stay silent or static.With an impressive educational background that includes a Master of Arts degree in Marketing and Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Communications, Ms Brown has found time to become a NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Business Practitioner while currently undertaking her doctorate degree.

But Ms Brown's energy, determination, and desires don't stop there. This active lady with a commitment to serve others:
  • sits on the GLE/oneLondon Growth Panel which offers loans for businesses trading for a minimum of one year to £40,000;

  • is a member of the MOD Diversity Champions Panel; and

  • is a Strategic Partner on the BAME Women's Councillors Taskforce.
On top of all that, Ms Brown writes a weekly business page for The New Nation Newspaper and is a regular contributor for features in magazines, radio shows, and speaking engagements around women in business.

According to Ms Brown, "Entrepreneurship is hard work and very lonely when you are going after your dreams and fulfilling your vision. Be prepared to do the work now so that you can enjoy the spoils at a later stage. The personal mantra I use is You gotta do what you need to do in order to do things you wanna do!"

I'm sure you'll agree with me that this lady is truly maximizing her potential and, as a role model, is encouraging other ladies to maximize theirs.

If you're looking for help in building a personal network that connects you to other esteemed and acclaimed professionals and entrepreneurs online, SistaTalk is for you.
